One of the most fascinating characters in the Russo brothers' latest action thriller, The Gray Man, is the CIA agent Suzanne Brewer. Played by Jessica Henwick, Brewer is tasked with supervising Lloyd Hansen (Chris Evans), a hotheaded former agent sent to terminate the protagonist, Sierra Six (Ryan Gosling).

It's an unusual role for Henwick because her character doesn't stay alive for long. In spite of that, the image of her head gets used in most of the first season. After Bianca gets murdered early in the series, her severed head then gets shown a number of times, something that helps magnify the show's horror elements and helps propel the investigation narrative.

Additionally, she is a great fight teacher too and since it's a superhero show, she is granted the same powers as Cage's associate, Iron Fist, though she isn't presented with as much fanfare as him.

Alexia is meant to be a sidekick but she gets to do a lot more, even serving as an unofficial mentor to the protagonist. That makes sense because she has been fighting the demonic army for much longer than him. There's plenty to love about the character, notably the fact that she shows no emotion and that she has an extremely unique fighting style.

It's yet another role where Henwick gets to showcase her martial arts skills and she's as badass as ass-kicking teenagers come. Her skills can be attributed to the fact that she took Wushu classes before filming began (via DimSum). Since the show is targeted toward younger audiences, Bo gets to beat up baddies in a comical manner rather than a brutal one.

Instead of letting a murder suspect be subjected to punishment, she tries to blackmail him so she can benefit. Unfortunately for her, the plan doesn't work out as she expected.
